: PHAR LAP TO BE RACED ON CHICAGO TRACKS SAN DIEGO, Calif., March 21. Phar Lap, the Australian avalanche that swept aside all opposition to win the rich Agua Caliente Handicap on Sunday; will seek to dethrone Sun Beau as the worlds greatest money-winning thoroughbred. The speed marvel from "down under," which won the Western turf classic in a common canter, will be shipped east at the conclusion of the Agua Caliente meeting to meet all comers in the rich stakes to be decided in the Chicago sector and every one of the 15,000 that witnessed his win on Sunday are firm in their belief that the six-year-old gelding will eventually become the leading money winner of all time. D. J. Davis, owner of Phar Lap, stated after Sundays historic encounter that Phar Lap probably would remain at Agua Caliente until the conclusion of the meeting. He may be a starter in the Agua Caliente Cup next Sunday and then be shipped directly to Washington Park, Chicago, where he has several stake engagements. Later he will be raced at Arlington Park. Davis is confident that in Phar Lap he has the greatest horse of all time and, after Sundays race, made the assertion that the gelding would not be returned to his native land until he had placed himself at the top of the worlds money-winning list.
