1 SARATOGA TURF NOTES t g . : J. B. Belk returned from Virginia where he went to inspect several yearlings. Uncle Billy" Garth, who has been resting up at his farm near Charlottesville, Va., is expected here in the course of the next few days. Frank J. Kearns, was the guest of honor at his forty-fifth birthday party at the Grand Union Saturday night Neal Forbes was master of ceremonies. James Milton, who has been here for the past few days, will leave for Baltimore tomorrow. The two-year-old Elylee that races for J. H. Louchheim was named for Elijah Lee, first vice-president of the Pennsylvania rail road, who died suddenly in New York on his way home from here to Philadelphia. Garden Message, which was withdrawn from the third race Monday, was worked after the running of the second. He was sent along for a mile in 1:44, handily. His fractions were :49, 1:15, 1:29 and 1:44. H. T. Archibald was an arrival from New York and will stay for several days.
