BORSA, away forwardly, displayed high speed rounding the turn, shook off GREEN MIST when straightened into the stretch, but faltered and was vigorously ridden to maintain his lead through the stretch. SEABISCUIT broke well, but was shuffled back in the opening sixteenth, secured clear passage on the inside rounding the turn, then came to the outside when straightened into the stretch and, closing gamely, finished fastest of all. GREEN MIST, quickest to begin, opened up a clear lead rounding the turn, but raced greenly and tired in the final eighth. SPEED raced well and was on the inside the entire trip. CANROCK, in nearest pursuit of the leader all the way, finished with good courage, but never threatened the leader. SANDY MACK, racing greenly and going wide rounding the turn, responded gamely to punishment through the stretch and was going strongly in the closing strides. PETER PEPPER displayed good speed, but tired and swerved to the inside in the last eighth. LOCH LONDON was hard ridden all the way and raced evenly. THIRD RACE 3-4 MILE. BYE BYE MARY, away slowly, worked her way forwardly on the inside until midway around the turn, was taken to the outside on the stretch turn and, closing steadily, wore down the leaders through the stretch and won going away under extreme pressure. KALOLA, well up in the early stages, assumed command entering the stretch, but faltered when challenged and was unable to withstand the winners bid. MEROVECH, away forwardly, displayed good speed in the early running, was pinched back on the stretch turn, but came again when straightened and outlasted ARMY GAME. The latter, under intermittent punisliment all the way, closed stoutly in the stretch run. FOREIGN LADY broke tardily, gradually bettered her position on the outside, but never threatened the leaders. ALWINTOUR began fast and displayed the most speed, but tired, as if short, in the stretch run. RAYCART was troubled rounding the turn and raced wide thereafter. HOWS CHANCES, hustled to the front and saving ground all the way, held on gamely when challenged, but was no match for the leader in the stretch run. RED JOHN, on the inside in the early stages, responded with good courage when taken to the outside in thi last quarter mile and shook off SUN MONK in the stretch run. SHOT AND SHELL held his opposition safe for speed and, rated in front in the early stages, tired when the final test came, but held the others safe at the finish. PRINCE POMPEY, in close attendance of the leaders for three-quarters, quit badly when straightened into the stretch. POPO rctird after racing a half mile. OLD JUDGE was outrun the entire trip. DANCING BOY, on the inside and restrained in the early stages, closed gamely under a hard drive through the stretch, but could not overhaul the leaders. DONT BLUSH, well up all the way, faltered in the final drive. POLO BAR tired after making a game effort entering the stretch. ONEILL displayed speed for about three-quarters, but quit badly.
