CONDITION OF JOCKEY HALEY HALEYNEW NEW YORK N Y May 23 Jockey Jack Haley believed fatally injured in a bad three horse fall during the running of the Alfar Steeplechase on Monday was reported today as definitely on the mend He has regained consciousness and there are no internal in ¬ juries though he remained unconscious until Thursday morning Haley was hurt when his horse Lone Gallant went down at the Liverpool jump causing Brier Blue and Santi Quaranti also to fall The latter horse broke his neck and in his death strug ¬ gle severely kicked Haley about the head
