COL WINN ANNOUNCES PURSE INCREASE AT LINCOLN FIELDS FIELDSTotal Total Disbursement for Second TenDay Period to Be 88600 88600CRETE CRETE 111 May 27 Col Matt J Winn executive director of the Lincoln Fields Jockey Club today announced a voluntary increase in purse disbursements during the second ten days of the meeting starting Friday FridayAs As the result of the increased business during the completed period of the meeting during the second ten days purses will total 88600 as compared with the 75100 dis ¬ bursed during the first tenday period Dur ¬ ing the second third of the meeting there will be six week days in which the purses will amount to 7400 daily Wednesday dur ¬ ing that period purses will aggregate 7900 On Memorial Day and the two Saturdays 12100 in purses will be distributed on each day dayColonel Colonel Winn in making this announce ¬ ment stated that no committees had waited on him or requested the increase in purses that it was entirely voluntary on the part of the association He also stated that if busi ¬ ness merits it there will also be an increase in the purse disbursements for the last ten days of the meeting
