ANOTHER CALIFORNIA NURSERY NURSERYLOS LOS ANGELES Calif June 23 J H Sattler partner with W C Gaffers in the Gaffers and Sattler stable is the latest Cali fornian to establish a new breeding farm it is about sixtyfive miles north of Los Angeles near a town named Gorman Sattler a few years ago bought what was known as the old Bailey Ranch and since then has acquired adjoining acreaage until today he has accumulated 127000 acres which extends about fourteen miles It la on the vast cattle ranch that Sattler ia establishing the new thoroughbred nursery He has built a fivefurlong training track in which the plans of the Santa Anita train ¬ ing track were followed A large cedar barn with twenty commodious stalls is included in the plans The new nursery will probably be named Alamo Ranch that being the name by which the property was originally known Partner Gaffers already has a ranch of hia own a picturesque and well planned estab ¬ lishment near Newhall Calif
