Pansys First Due Soon To Drop Airflame Foal FoalDaughter Daughter of Pansy Walker Is at Crescent Oaks Ranch RanchDALLAS DALLAS Texas May 11 Pansys First Crescent Oaks Ranchs matron who is ex ¬ pected to foal momentarily at the Deriton headquarters of this Dallasowned estab ¬ lishment has several distinctions which set her apart from the average run of thoroughbred mares maresShe She is the first foal of Pansy Walker queen of the former Three Ds Stock Farm She is by Phalaros Waggoner brothers English stallion for which the late Col W T Waggoner paid a large sum and who now is owned by the Mexican Gov ¬ ernment and in the Presidential stables Mexico City Pansys First was quite suc ¬ cessful on the track as was her dam When the Waggoner brothers disposed of their racing and breeding stock Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilt acquired Pansy Walker Cahfli dam of the erratic Heelfy who he also bought Girl Scout and Thats That dam of Now What Vanderbilt also tried to buy Pansys First but lost her to Adolphe Pons his fellow Maryland breeder who had acted in the sale of the brood mares from the Texas clan Pons immediately retired the daughter of Phalaros Pansy Walker to the stud and bred her to Airflame A A Tony Pelleteris former handicap star now at stud at Pons Bel Air establish ¬ ment near Baltimore The expectant foal will be the young mares first offspring Pons early last winter sold Pansys First to Crescent Oaks Ranch with a group of older mares maresThe The foal by Airflame Pansys First holds interest for Texas breeders in that it will be the initial foal by the son of Ariel Flamante by Flamboyant in the Southwest I am pleased with Airflames first foals here at Bel Air Pons recently advised the owners of Crescent Oaks Ranch There are two colts here and I hope you have as good luck with yours from Pansys First as I have with mine Sending the Phalaros mare to Airflamol J had in mind getting a colt with earrj speed for on both sides of the pedigrt there is an abundance of it J
