Officials at Hawthorne Aiding In Conduct of Lincoln Meeting MeetingSTICKNEY STICKNEY 111 May 18 Extending their assistance to the Lincoln Fields Jockey Club in staging its meeting at Haw ¬ thorne beyond the lease of their plant to that association officials of the Chicago Business Mens Racing Association have contributed helpful aid in launching the Crete organizations session here Among Hawthorne executives who have cooperated by giving their full time are Charles Krutckoff president and general manager Charles Bidwill chairman of the board and Ben Miller plant superintendent They have worked hand in hand with Col Matt J Winn who is executive head of the Lincoln Fields Jockey Club Stuyvesant Peabody president Russell Sweeney gen ¬ eral manager Stanley Hugenberg treas ¬ urer Samuel H McMeekin secretary and Ttjomas Young general superintendent superintendentThis This spirit of cooperation not lacking elsewhere in racing has and will continue to assist it through the period of the war emergency
