Death Takes Parker Corning Soon After Wifes Demise DemiseALBANY ALBANY N Y May 24 Parker Corn ¬ ing former congressman representing New Yorks twentyeighth district died here to ¬ day after a brief illness His wife the former Anne Cassin McClure succumbed April 3 last at the family home at nearby Glenmont Mr Corning was 69 years old and had been ill for a short time timeMr Mr Corning a close friend of former Gov Alfred E Smith and active in develop ¬ ing the Albany city and county Democratic organizations retired from public office in 1936 to devote his time to his business in ¬ terests He was founder of the Albany Felt Company in 1895 and subsequently was its board chairman He maintained a 1000 acre farm at Glenmont as well as a home at Bar Harbor Maine MaineMrs Mrs Corning was noted as the owner of a racing stable and thoroughbred breeding stock To settle her estate all her horses will be sold at auction by the FasigTipton Company at Belmont Park Friday morning Attention conqueror of Whirlaway in the Arlington Classic in 1941 and one of the outstanding handicap horses today will be among the offerings
