Hirsch Jacobs Planning Garden State Campaign CampaignBrilliant Brilliant Trainer Sent Forth 28 Winners During Initial Meeting MeetingCAMDEN CAMDEN N J May 26 Hirsch Jacobs champion trainer of America in nine of the past ten years will campaign a powerful stable of 20 horses at the 50day Garden State Park meeting which opens here on July 7 7Jacobs Jacobs who has won more races than any other American trainer each year since 1933 with the exception of 1940 when he was second to Dave Womeldorff was the leading trainer at Garden States inaugural meeting in 1942 1942The The 28 winners he saddled at the New Jersey meeting contributed to his ninth na ¬ tional championship which he eventually won by sending out 133 winners Last sea ¬ son was the third best in Jacobs brilliant career and another successful campaign in New Jersey will aid his fight for his tenth title titleMy My horses liked the Garden State track last season although it was getting its first trial said Jacobs After a year of season ¬ ing and natural improvement this racing strip should be second to none in the coun try I hope I am as lucky in Jersey as I was in 1942 1942Jacobs Jacobs public stable includes the horses racing in the silks of his wife Mrs Ethel D Jacobs and his longtime associate Isa dore Bieber The latter is an enthusiastic supporter of Garden State Park and plans to spend much of the summer at the new track trackLast Last season the Jacobs stable rider Joe Rienzi rode 43 winners to finish second to the sensational Darrell Clingman at the Garden State meeting This summer Jacobs will bring down Rienzis brother Danny at present an apprentice star on the New York circuit to handle his saddle work
