Estimate Woodward Owned 300 Horses at Time of His Death DeathSTICKNEY STICKNEY 111 May 26 While funeral services were being held in Houston today for Emerson F Woodward and his wife it was disclosed that the late master of Val ¬ dina Farm had probably more thorough ¬ bred horses than any man in the world According to figures available here he had almost 300 horses 22 of which are atJHaw thorne taking part in the Lincoln Fields meeting meetingOn On the Valdina Farm in Texas accord ¬ ing to information available here are 110 brood mares and six stallions In addition there are 65 yearlings 70 sucklings and eight horses of racing age two years old or older running out on the ranch Thera still may be some additions to the Valdina holdings since a few of the mares have yet to drop foals
