Wheeling Downs Racing Begins This Afternoon AfternoonFirst First Seven Days for Benefit of Red Cross and Community Fund FundWHEELING WHEELING W Va May 27 The West Virginia Jockey Club located on the banks of the Ohio River will inaugurate its sum ¬ mer meeting of 28 days tomorrow after ¬ noon The first seven days of the meeting will be conducted for the benefit of the Red Cross Fund of Wheeling which will obtain 80 per cent of the profits while the remaining 20 per cent will be donated to Wheeling Community Fund FundFor For the initial days entertainment rac ¬ ing secretary William Shewbridge has as ¬ sembled a representative program of eight races which will be featured by the Red Cross Purse PurseThe The principal race will be contested over the intermediate distance of six and a half furlongs and brings together such notables as W B Casilears Lost and Found Tommy Gun who races for B F Christmas Satchel from the stable of Al Gordon Ralph Koonces Sashay Moon with top weight 114 pounds while Blue Devil gets in with 107 S A Coopers Buzz Buzz com ¬ pletes the field
