Fairmoirnt Moves Up Post Time To 2 P M Starting Tuesday TuesdayCOLLINSVILLE COLLINSVILLE 111 June 7 Starting with Tuesdays racing Fairmount Park being dark on Mondays post time for the first race will be 2 oclock Since the start of the meeting post time for the first race has been 3 oclock D C Burnett general manager announced the change over the weekend and at the same time issued the following statement statementDue Due to the fact that quite a few friends and patrons of Fairmount Park have ex ¬ pressed the opinion that 3 oclock post time works a hardship on them and have ex ¬ pressed a preference for an earlier post time starting Tuesday June 8 the post time for the first race will be 2 oclock oclockBefore Before deciding on the change the man ¬ agement canvassed all government agencies as well as the bus company serving this area After a conference it was decided that the earlier post time would not inter ¬ fere with war work workThis This is in line with Fairmount Parks policy of cooperating with all government agencies and at the same time please its patrons
