LIKEASNOT, away fast, moved into a clear lead, withstood the repeated challenges by LIBERTY PAN and won under pressure to the end. LIBERTY PAN lost grQund rounding the turn, made a determined bid entering the stretch, but could not menace the winner. CYRLS P. was shuffled back when taueht in close quarters rounding the turn and came again in the drive with a rush on the inside. STITCH AGAIN made up ground from a slow beginning, lost ground enterine the stretch and finished well. WAR PAGE had no excuses. EQLTSTAR was outrun. Scratched 55761 Me. 106. THE CAPTAIN broke slowly, made up ground steadily and, going to the inside entering the stretch, got up in the final stride. OBSERVER gained a slight lead in the first quarter, disposed of CAMPION HALL, went wide entering the stretch under pressure and hung at the finish. LORD HAIRAN was forwardly placed throughout and lost ground while drifting out in the stretch. CAMPION HALL showed a good effort, but tired in the final eighth. CHERE BRANDY closed fast. PIG TAILS broke to good advan-lase, followed the early pace under licht restraint, moved up on the outside entering the stretch and wore down GOOD GOING in the final strides under pressure. GOOD GOING showed good speed from the break, saved ground throughout and then faltered in the drive. 7ACA ROSA was prominent from the start, but could not improve her position. CAUTION was taken in hand shortly after the break, was allowed to settle into stride for the first half, responded well when roused rounding the turn and was ridden out to the end while drawing away. RUSH ACT, a forward factor from the beginning, showed a good effort and finished well. PORT HARMONY opened up a long lead racing down the far side and then tired in the stretch run. ARGONNE WOODS, taken in hand soon after the break, was called upon going into the far turn while racing on the outside and finished determinedly under pressure. MARRIAGE, away fist, established a clear lead rounding the first turn while still racing under restraint, saved ground rounding the far turn and then drifted out in the stretch when tiring. SWEEP SWINGER, outrun in the early stages, closed ground in the stretch run. GRASSHOPPER II. was forwardly placed throughout and tired badly. EQUINOX was outrun.
