Windbag Great Australian Racer and Stallion Dies DiesBy By Special Correspondent MELBOURNE Australia Windbag one of the greatest race horses and most suc ¬ cessful stallions produced in Australia and sire of winners of almost 1000000 in stakes died at A G Hunters Northwood Park Stud Seymour Victoria on April 27 He was 22 years old His most notable triumphs were in the A J C V R C St Leger and the 1925 Melbourne Cup He sired many winners among them several who scored in classic events Chatham won two Epsoms at Rand wick Others were Topical Australian Cup Liberal Vic ¬ toria Derby Debater Kings Cup and the Oaks heroine Primavera Other winners of merit sired by Windbag were Tempest Throttle Winooka one of the greatest milers of all time here and Respirator Windbag was foaled in 1921 and sired his first classic winner Liberal in 1932 He was bred at P Millers Kia Ora Stud Scone N S W
