Aqueduct Opens War Bond Day Ticket Sale SaleOfficials Officials Warn Necessity of Purchasing Admissions Early EarlyAQUEDUCT AQUEDUCT L I N Y June 8 The advance sale of tickets for racings War Bond Day at Aqueduct June 24 starts to ¬ morrow As there is inevitable delay in the purchase of War Bond admissions the Queens County Jockey Club points out that if the day is to be the success it deserves a large proportion of the admissions must be purchased well in advance of the day of racing racingJune June 24 a Saturday is the day when the 50000 Dwyer Stakes for threeyearolds will be renewed at a mile and a quarter In past years the Dwyer has almost always resulted in a thrilling contest and such good colts as Omaha Johnstown and Whirlaway have won it in recent years The inaugural winner was the immortal Hanover who beat Dunboyne and Bronzo marte in 1887 with Jimmy McLaughlin in the saddle saddleAll All five of the New York racing associa ¬ tions are underwriting War Bond Day and it is racings Metropolitan contribution to the Fifth War Loan drive There will be nine advance sale booths inside and out ¬ side the Aqueduct race track trackOn On Saturday June 24 no regular tickets of admission will be sold or honored and only the purchase of War Bonds will admit any patron to the track This is in addition to the regular daily War Bond admission One grandstand admission will be given for each 25 or 50 bond purchase and one clubhouse ticket for each 100 bond par value
