Dade Park Announces Minimum Purse Boost BoostNone None Will Be Less Than 700 During 26Day Meet Ellis Says SaysOWENSBORO OWENSBORO Ky June 15 Minimum purse offerings during the annual 26day meeting at Dade Park will be 700 an in ¬ crease of 100 over last season James C Ellis president and general manager of the Dade Park Jockey Club announced here today Racing will be conducted six days weekly at the western Kentucky track be ¬ ginning Saturday August 5 and continuing on through Labor Day September 4 4Purses Purses other than the minimum will range up to 1500 Ellis stated statedLester Lester E Yaeger associate manager has received a number of requests for stable reservations and expects all accommoda ¬ tions to be filled before inaugural day Yaeger shares Ellis opinion that the ap ¬ proaching meeting will be one of the best in the history of the track trackA A number of improvements will be made about the grandstand clubhouse and pad ¬ dock and the usual dressingup of the plant will be completed long before opening day
