Unusual Incidents at Delaware DelawareSTANTON STANTON Del June 16 Thursdays races brought out several strange inci ¬ dents during the course of the afternoon In the opening race M A Cushmans Navy Dance was injured at the starting gate and ordered scratched by the stewards The race resulted in the judges posting the wrong horse the winner and then changing it and making Morgils Lad the first horse Things went smoothly until the final race when starter George Palmer sent the fa ¬ vored Fred Havecker back for examination by the stewards The plater was very sore going to the post but after being looked over by Dr R D Conley the track vet ¬ erinarian he was declared fit to race Fred Havecker stopped badly and drifted out all through the final quarter mile
