Deny Puente Petition PetitionLOS LOS ANGELES Calif June 18 The Los Angeles Area Production Committee of which Louis M Dreves is chairman has denied a petition for priorities to build a race track at Puente a few miles east of Los Angeles The committees action was unanimous The Office of Defense Trans ¬ portation also expressed opposition to the proposed track pointing out that it is im ¬ possible for trains now passing through Puente to handle short haul traffic to and from the proposed track
