Little Hoops Gains Top Award at Suffojk Downs DownsWins Wins State House Purse by Five Lengths Over Heavy Racing Strip StripEAST EAST BOSTON Mass June 21 Irving J Whites Little Hoops a son of Glaston bury found the heavy track at Suffolk Downs to his advantage today and won an easy victory in the State House Purse Sent to the front entering the stretch Little Hoops drew out steadily and was five lengths before J W Heinickes Chicago Dr at the wire H G Bedwells Undulator who was installed the choice by the crowd of 10395 present finished third another length and a quarter back Charles Rufis Mintlock and H Hessey Millers Incoming completed the field for the sixfurlong dash and finished in that order orderLight Light weight of the band under 108 pounds Little Hoops raced the distance over the holding course in 114 com ¬ mendable time Not too highly regarded in the wagering the White colt was good for 1280 straight mutuel after winning his third purse of the 1944 campaign campaignMintlock Mintlock made the pace during the first halfmile while Little Hoops raced close up and on the inside with Undulator very much in the running Coming through on the inside at the final turn Little Hoops forged to the front over Mintlock and Un ¬ dulator occupied third position a short distance before Chicago Dr The latter re ¬ sponded readily when put to punishment and although he could not menace the win ¬ ner he did have enough left to down Un ¬ dulator The faltering Mintlock dropped back to fourth and Incoming who raced wide during the last three sixteenths was i a soundly whipped last
