Relief to Detroit Horsemen In Fire Already at 20000 20000DETROIT DETROIT Mich June 22 The Detroit Horsemens Relief Society expects to spend some 25000 rehabilitating owners trainers and stable help who sustained personal as well as property losses in the fire at the Fair Grounds early last Satur ¬ day that razed two barns and caused the death of one man injured numerous others and brought destruction to 31 horses horsesBurial Burial expenses of David O Scott a groom who succumbed to burns received in the fire are being underwritten by the society as well as treatment of those in ¬ jured At a meeting held yesterday a spokes ¬ man for the society announced that through its trustees Charles T Fisher Lou J Lepper Charles M Bray a member of the Fair Grounds board of stewards and Michigan racing commissioner William J Dowling 20000 already had been paid out for the relief of owners trainers and stable employees Of this amount 4900 was advanced at the rate of 100 per person to 49 stable employees who lost personal belongings In addition a by ¬ stander Dommer Griffin who suffered an ankle injury while aiding in the rescue of horses was taken to Highland Park Gen ¬ eral Hospital and his treatment paid for by the society
