LETITIA forced the early pace under a light hold, slowly wore down BENROSE and, holding on well, withstood the challenge of COSMIC. The latter, reserved off the pace, made a determined effort under mild pressure, but could not get up. BENROSE saved ground, but gave way gradually in the drive. FUNROW could not get up, yet held on well. BEA L. was weakly ridden. BRINY MARLIN was outrun. Overweight — Letitia, 2 pounds; Funrow, 4; Miss Emmalee, 4; Bea L., 2; Briny Marlin, 1. NEB, well up from the start and raced wide, took command quickly, swerved to the inside in the last eighth and continued well after , atraightening up. AUNT LUCY had speed from the start, bore in badly in the stretch, where she impeded LADY DUANE, and barely lasted to finish second, but was disqualified. LADY DUANE had speed, was sharply impeded nearing the last eighth and came again when clear. DERRINGER began slowly. RESTORATION, taken back early, was racing well at the end. SERGEANT BILL, allowed to make the early pace winthout challenge, came out in the stretch, quickly increased his advantage* when plated to a hand ride and was holding on well at the end. ANOTHER TIME, on the inside throughout, was under good urging the final five sixteenths. COURT FLASH dropped back soon after reaching the stretch, but% came again. MISS TIPPER had no mishaps. GRIM AND GA.Y made a good pace under energetic riding, also came out in the stretch and began to tire before reaching the last sixteenth. OLD SILK raced wide and showed a game effort. DOC WAGNER, in hand early, moved up on the outside entering the stretch, but hung near the end. IWALEMUTE dropped back on the final turn and was not dangerous thereafter. BIGANDLITTLE was outrun.
