AMPERAGE shook off BOSl.EY to take clear advantage on the turn, was rated along nicely thereafter and was ridden out through the final lurlong. FOURTH ARM was steadied while well placed early, made a mild challenge in the early stretch, then tired slightly, just lasting for a dead heat for plbce. SPREAD EAGI.E was slow to settle into stride while in the center of the pack earh. was taken to the outside through the stretch and. closed wfth a rush to dead-heat with FOURTH ARM. FLIGHTING MAC closed some ground under pressure. HADA STAR tired giaduallv . KNITTE, oft slowly, refused to extend himself early, then rallied only mildly. GAY BRIGADIER was not hurried early, rallied well under pressure and appeared ready to draw clear at the end. PARTIDO splinted into a -commanding lead early, was well rated and held on better than usual. TOP MONEY, off sluggishly and rushed into contention in the opening quarter, raced evenly through the late stages. LITTLF] BlD closed some ground in the closing test. PREFECT improved his position gradually, took command just inside the furlong pole, lugged in slightly soon alter and went on to win with speed in reserve. POST BOY was hard ridden while raring with the pace, was bothered slightly in the early stretch, then recovered well to hold on gamely. ABIEL raced with the pace from the start and held on rather well. ANOTHF.R BEL showed an even effort. GINOKCM was hemmed in on the rail throughout and tired. PROCD PAPPY showed nothing. CHERRY POP, always a forward factor, reached the leader in the nil] ttrctcfc ami appeared ready to draw away through the last sixteenth. NEAT AND TIDY forged to the front early, was well rated and held on gamely when challenged. EAST raced in the first flight throughout, then tired slightly in the final quarter. CELLARETTE moved into contention on the turn and raced evenly thereafter. QUIET SHOT was forced to take up sharply when HYGROS GINGER was knocked back.
