Chicago Futurities Draw 210 Eligibles Arlington and Washingtons! Two Major Juvenile Stakes Each May Gross 0,000 The list of nominees for the Arlington Park and Washington Park futurities, each of which will carry a gross value of approximately 0,000, was announced by the managements of the two tracks yesterday. The countrys leading stables are pointing their most fashionably bred juveniles for these events, which annually bring out strong contenders for national supremacy Warren Wright, John Marsch, Mrs. Elizabeth N. Graham, Mrs. John Hertz and William Helis all have strong representation among the nominees. Two hurttired and ten remain eligible for each stake. The Arlington Futurity will be run on July 28 and the Washington Park Futurity on August 18. Considerable interest will focus on Colony Boy, the colt for which Mrs. Graham paid 6,000— top price at the Keeneland yearling sales last summer. This youngster, who was bred by Hal Price | Headley, is a member of the first crop of j Eight Thirtys foals to come to the races. Aside from his purchase price, Colony Boy j has quite a bit to live up to — for his sire j was distinguished both for racing class and j aristocratic appearance. Colony Boy is scheduled to make his racing bow in an overnight race at Belmont Park today. Full Brother to Count Fleet Another from whom much is expected is Mrs. Hertzs Count Speed. He is a full brother to Count Fleet. Among Calumet Farms nominees is Jezros, a son of Bull Lea who Wright purchased from Elmendorf for 0,000. Bull Lea, young stallion standing at Calumet, has sired a remarkable succession of good fillies — Twilight Tear, Durazna and Harriet Sue. Marsch, whose Free for All, Occupation, Occupy and Jezrahel have dominated the two Futurities in recent seasons, has 13 nominees. Among them is I Did, a colt whom he acquired for 4,000.
