Gallant Bull Brings Top Price of Barrington Sale Mrs. L Lazare Pays 8,000 for Colt; 30 Head Average ,100 ELMONT, L. I.. IS- Y.. June 22.— The sale of horses in training held at Belmont J Park this morning attracted spirited bidding and exceptionally high prices were bid and realized for the offering from the i Barrington Stable and other lots. The top ! price was paid for Gallant Bull, a bay colt . 4, by Bull Lea from Gallant Miss. This fellow was sold to the New York patron j Mrs. Louis Lazare for 8,000 after bidding I carried him to that figure. Richmond Jac, I a three-year-old brown colt by Jacopo from Richmond Rose was the next highest price and he realized 5,000. The purchaser was : Mrs. Ada L. Rice. The latter patroness also . paid the third highest price. 3,000, for I Airflake, also a three-year-old. This black colt is by Ariel from Snowflake. The totaf realized from the Barrington Stable sale was 53,100 while other offer- j ings from the La Favorita Farms and | Brookfield Farms realized 9,900.
