YELLOW KITTEN worked her way up under steady handling and wore down the leaders from the outside through the stretch. BRIGHT TRACE, hustled to the front, was used up dueling with CHERRIKO and had little left when overtaken bv the winner. CHERRIKO tired in the drive. LADY STRRDCST was prominently placed for half a mile. ROCKWOOD JEAN stumbled after the start, but finished well. JAY STEVENS made up ground. HALF GRAND had no mishaps. Claimed — Cherriko by D. OLD IRON forced the pate to the stretch and tired. NEVER ALONE closed well. LINGER ALONG moved up briefly. STANLENE was hemmed in early. BIG BOZO was in close quarters early. WINNPEARL moved up fast on the Mrtsiat on the far turn, shook free of SWEEPNACK and held off GOLD BILL. The latter, well handled, s.ied ground while making the pace under pressuie. appeared through near the stretch, but held on well. SWEEPNACK, rushed up from the outside on the far turn, appeared as though moving to command, but faltered thereafter. TIMELY FLIGHT passed tiring horses. BRADWIN closed well. COLOR WEEK lacked room in the earlv stages. BASHFUL DICK tired after seven eighths and pulled up lame. Overweight— Gold Bill. 2 pounds; Timely Flight. 3. Claimed— Sweepnack by A. The latter was sent forward from the inside, was blocked rounding the far turn, came out for the drive and wis wearing the winner down at the finish. ONE LINK went forward steadily, dueled with the winner rounding the far turn, then faltered. MAGNESIUM moved from the outside approaching the stretch and passed tiring horses. BORIS N lacked speed.
