REFUGIO fenced well throughout, was well placed while under restraint early, assumed command atter the final fence and was kept to pressure to the end. ROUGEMONT displaced the leader early, was well rated while in front, allowed the winner to move through on the inside nearing the final fence, and then failed to last. MFETING HOlSE was held otf the pace for a mile and one-half, was moving nicely rounding the last turn when he was permitted to race very wide, losing what chance he may have had of overtaking the top pair. He came back slightly lame. ON THE CUFF had early speed, began tiring after a mile and landed poorly at the ninth fence. TRF1FORD appeared to have shied away from something while on the flat between the tenth and eleventh jump, and the rider was unseated.
