SANDY TRAIL was smiled while well placed early, moved around TAGEL to take command, was hard ridden thereattei and withstood a bid by ASTRAL. The latter saved ground early after breaking slowh and went to the outsidk with good courage. RED CIN, always within striking distance, rallied entering the stretch, then raced evenly thereafter. TAGEL was sprinted into command early, held sway under rating to the furlong pole, then faltered badly. THESEUS dwelt at the break and turned in a powerful effort. CUSHLAMACREE was crowded along the backstretch and again soon after leaving the quarter pole. SQUADRON stopped badly, GORGET was through earlv. SEVENTH RACE 1 MILE AND 70 YARDS.
