Fast Sprint Field In Cicero Offering OfferingBubbling Bubbling Easy Good Turn Henny Penny Pomps Gal Slated to Match Speed SpeedSPORTSMANS SPORTSMANS PARK Cicero 111 May 4 One of the most spirited fivefurlong dashes of the meeting is expected to be forthcoming tomorrow in the Sherman Hotel Purse a 3000 endowed allowance test which was substituted for the original speed handicap of that name which did not fill fillSpeed Speed is presented in abundance among the 10 overnight entrants A thrilling con ¬ test should develop between the quick sprinters who apparently dominate the field namely D C Wilhelms Bubbling Easy Mrs O Hi Marshalls Good Turn M H VanBergs entry of Henny Penny and Sir White and N L Raffelmans Pomps Gal It is certain the original handicap conditions could not have drawn a better field but apparently the owners preferred the allowance conditions conditionsAll All of the aforementioned are particu larly quick performers but over this short course the main consideration must be given to Bubbling Easy Good Turn and Henny Penny Mrs O H Marshalls 10 yearold Ariel gelding will be given a chance to redeem the publics faith which he relinquished while finishing second in the first division of the sevenfurlong Inaugural Handicap In this contest Good Turn led for most of the distance and is certain to be battling for pacefnaking hon ¬ ors tomorrow as the field swings into the first turn After a sixyear absence from the turf the former stakes performer gave an excellent accounting in several of the better races during the Tropical Park meeting early this spring In his first vic ¬ tory of the year the teletimer posted the first quarter he sprinted in the exceptional time of 2145 the half in 45 and was eased up the six furlongs in 1113 This was a claiming event in which he was entered for 5000 A couple of weeks afterward Good Turn turned back some of the best sprinters on the grounds in the sixfurlong Dade County Handicap HandicapRegistered Registered in Fast Time TimeBubbling Bubbling Easy and Henny Penny have already displayed their quick foot to ad ¬ vantage over the fivefurlongdistance the former mare capturing the Berwyn Purse on opening day Here was the fastest time for the dash posted at this meeting as she easily trounced her opposition in 101 Last spring Bubbling Easy was one of the top handicap performers in this area but later could not carry her speed to a suc ¬ cessful conclusion A return to her win ¬ ning ways is evident and she is further favored with number one post position giv ¬ ing her the shortest route to travel pro ¬ viding she reaches the turn in a forward position positionM M H VanBergs Henny Penny won in equally convincing fashion in the Illinois Valley Purse Saturday running the five furlongs in 101 while winning by five lengths Sir White who will run coupled with Henny Penny will be making his debut for this season Sir White has been reported training sharply and was one of the star performers here last fall fallPomps Pomps Gal who is coupled with Georgie V as the N L Raff elman entry has turned in two good efforts at this meeting in the second division of the Inaugural Handicap and last week in the United Charities of the Chicago Purse The Raffelman mare appears the one to come from behind if the leaders show any signs of faltering while her stablemate may be expected to be racing with the pace
