Maryland Notes PIMLICO Baltimore Md May 6 Trainer Henry Clark of the Christiana Stable said today he plans to run Anna Christie in the Pimlico Oaks scheduled for decision on Friday May 14 Carson Kirk continues to show the way among the riders in action at the meeting He has won four races to two each for Henry Mora Bobby Watson and Mike Corona his nearest rivals It is a curious thing that in three days of sport locally only three races have been won by appren ¬ tices C J Meyer Arthur Monteiro and Raymond Drury are the bug boys who have wori a race Henry Clark and Sid Jacobs are the only trainers who have saddled more than a single winner to date each showing two victories R E Potts turned loose a running juve ¬ nile in the fourth event yesterday when he saddled Anthracite to score by half a dozen lengths Anthracite is by Bimelech one of the fastest horses of this genera ¬ tion and is out of Sweet Desire a swift filly who formerly ran for the Bomar Sta ¬ ble in whose colors Anthracite scored Return of sunshine during the work hours brought increased activity on the track Hundreds of liorses were in action and outriders Johnny Shanks and Eddie Benham were kept busy seeing that traffic moved smoot hly during the training period periodDon Don MacAndrew has given second call on his services to the Walter P Chrysler Jr stable MacAndrew yesterday rode Rogue to victory for that establishment Joseph Tuccis Incline will be ridden in the Dixie Handicap by Claude Erickson That rider was astride the King Ranch bred router when he beat Gallorette and Double Jay in the BryanOHara Handicap at Bowie last fall When Lee Haskell piloted Parkie to an easy score in Tuesdays dash for twoyear old fillies it brought to mind a long asso ¬ ciation of the turf just being renewed Parkie is trained by C M Feltneri for whom Haskell won many races in years gone by before the association was interrupted for more than a year through an injury to Has ¬ kell
