Joey Bomber Carr Hatchs Sweepblu was a well beaten fourth fourthLast Last Mark also established a new record for the Guineas completing his task in an excellent 152 His victory was worth 11010 and the seventh position After straightening away for the back stretch run Joey Bomber moved to Meal Time and after a slight brush took the head position positionAfter After being overtaken Meal Time began to drop back with Lord Fairmond moving into second position at the fivefurlong marker Here Last Mark had moved into fourth position Around the last turn Last Mark was mildly shaken up He moved smartly to Baileys urging had dead aim on Lord Fairmond who had just moved to the front of Meal Time in the home stretch then in the last sixteenth definitely proved his superiority Lord Fairmond ran a good game entering the home stretch then drew out steadily through the final quartermile without need of punishment LORD FAIRMOND raced forwardly placed from the start while saving round was placed under pressure in the final quartermile held on willingly in the drive but was no match for the winner JOEY BOMBER broke fast took command from MEAL TIME after the opening three furlongs drew clear but began to falter when the real racing began SWEEPBLU was in repeated trouble early found clear sailing in the last three furlongs and closed with good courage POLIPAT closed stoutly after being outrun early MEAL TIME showed good speed for the opening six furlongs then began to falter RED BOTTLE made up some ground KID RUMBLE could not keep up ALL BRITISH raced well the first five furlongs then tired FAIR MARK had some speed The others were never troublesome troublesomeOverweight Overweight Red Bottle 1 pound
