Must Vacate Suffolk Stable Area by June 14 14SUFFOLK SUFFOLK DOWNS East Boston Mass May 24 William Almy Jr director of racing at Suffolk Downs has posted a notice in the Administration Building notifying horsemen that they will be expected to vacate the stable area by June 14 in order to facilitate repairs to the stables and grounds Hampered by the late spring the local management was unable to complete roads in the stable area and plan to have the grounds and barns in tiptop shape for occupancy during the summer meeting which opene July 12 Closing of the stable area to the horsemen following the current meeting is also essential to the progress expected in completing the turf course for the summer meeting Almy stated that it will be necessary to haul many loads of dirt fill across the track and the management is in hopes of ready ¬ ing the crass course in time to present racest of this type for the first time in history of New England racing during the 30 days from July 12 to August 14
