Cliffords Gulfstream Position Is Eliminated EliminatedSays Says He Intends to Fight Move Donn Becomes General Manager ManagerBELMONT BELMONT PARK Elmont L I N Y i May 26 James L Clifford former direc ¬ tor of racing at Gulfstream Park and one of the original reorganizes of the success ¬ ful Florida track discussed recent changes in the officers of that course while at Bel ¬ mont Park today Clifford said that he is in New York to consult with his attorney Ralph Knisely of 115 Broadway in an ef ¬ fort to protect his interests and will return to Miami in a few days to consult with other stockholders stockholdersClifford Clifford said that at a meeting held in Miami on Monday the position of director of racing was eliminated by president James Donn and the other directors on grounds of economy violating a verbal agreement that would have retained Clif ¬ ford in his position Stefan Zachar former vicepresident of the Gulfstream Park Rac ¬ ing Association has been replaced by H H Woodsmall Clifford said while William Hutchinson and Ed Donn brother of the track president have been appointed di ¬ rectors Zachar has been removed from the board of directors directorsJames James Donn has added the post of gen ¬ eral manager to his duties as president taking the place of the director of racing Clifford added Clifford said that his own elimination as an official came as a com ¬ plete surprise which he mtends to light Clifford holds 500 shares of common stock in the track as well as 75 shares of the preferred issue which he says is more than held individually by the majority of the directors
