DIXIE FLYER saved ground while making the pace and holding on in determined fashion, just failed to last. PLENARY was badly outrun to the stretch and then raced wide, but finished strongly. HASTY ROAD was off forwardly placed and. was rated close to the pace to the stretch turn, then came out in order to find clear passage and urged an eighth out, wore down BUSHERS BEAM. The latter, having speed from the start and racing close to PURSUANCE until the latter began to weaken, then took a clear advantage and increased it after entering the stretch, but was all out at the end and just lasted to save second place. HASSEYAMPA was sluggishout of the gate and was badly outrun for a half, then moved fast while saving ground and, closing stoutly, would have been second in another stride. OLD FORGE was far back early, closed a big gap on the outside in an excellent effort. REVOLT was fairly well up throughout, but failed to threaten for the leadership at any stage. PURSUANCE showed fine speed for five furlongs, then began to tire. TUOSIX moved up on the backstretch and then weakened. MR. PROSECUTOR stopped badly after going a half mile. LADY OF CHANCE was hard held in the first seven ."urlongs while racing within striking distance of the leaders, moved up and was unable to find an opening on the stretch turn, coming to the outside of three horses to wear them down and win drawing out. FATHER TIBER was saved while showing the pace and withstood challenges from JAY EDWARD and BLACK CANASTA on the stretch turn to draw out. again while saving ground. BLACK CANASTA made a good run on the outside nearing the stretch turn, was required to go rather wide on the turn, but went gamely to the finish. SOOCRU saved ground in the late stages. JAY EDWARD weakened after bidding for the leadership. The others were outpaced. Black Canasta claimed by Blossom Stable. For Late Chart See Tomorrows Issue
