DADDYS DOG raced in closest attendance along the backstretch, disposed of JACCONE entering the stretch and then held sway over MISS ZENITH. The latter moved along the inside to join the pace on the turns, loomed most dangerous a furlong out and then flattened out . badly. JACCONE weakened in the final three-sixteenths. COLONEL JETT lacked a sufficient rally. BE TRUMP raced evenly. TIPPITOES showed little. ADENA was never a factor. BROOM SEDGE quit Overweight Broom Sedge, 2 pounds. Miss Zenith claimed by M. K. GARETH moved around MILLIES BABE on the turns and then drew clear under intermittent urging. ALA PAM finished willingly in the middle of the track to outfinish CHILLY CHICK. The latter lacked a rally. NARROW MARGIN raced evenly. BRIEFCASE showed little. MINK GAL was never a contender. MILLIES BABE quit. SHARP MARK turned in a miserable performance and did not keep a true course through the stretch. The start was delayed four minutes when the gate on the sixth stall would not lock and it was necessary to change several of the post position, therefore not using the sixth stall. LITTLE IMP raced as a team with WHIFFENPOOF along the backstretch, bore out slightly entering the stretch and, then in the final sixteenth of a mile, was increasing his advantage under mild urging. WHIFFENPOOF forced the pace while on the backstretch, swung wide entering the stretch, but was no match for the top one in the final drive. SHAMROCK, slow to gain best stride as usual, rallied insufficiently. MR. SKIP moved along from the outside, but lacked the necessary qualifications. SHAG TAILS weakened. HOLD DOR was never u factor. PICK AND PLAY showed little. CODED MESSAGE was never in contention. BLENMINT weakened after trying unsuccessfully to gain the lead in the early going to aid his stablemate, MR. SKIP. WOLF GAL, nicely ridden, saved all possible ground and was along to wear down CAJOLE and BEST AIR and then draw clear under urging. The latter raced in the first flight from the outset, gained a narrow advantage coming into the stretch and then was unable to hold the top one. CAJOLE hung in the final strides. SLIPPY finished willingly while between horses. TASK FLEET lacked a rally. M0R-SN00ZEY made up some ground in the latter stages after a sluggish beginning. WAL-OOT-O tired. PASHPIE had speed in spots. ELAINE RUTH quit HI DECKER was never a factor. MESTIZA trailed most of the trip.
