REMINDS HIM OF ISAAC MURPHY. After L. Williams won the second race at Latonia Wednesday with Solly M., Judge Hopper said: "He has a good seat, holds his horse well together, is alert at the post, a good judge of pace, and is strong enough to finish with any one. That makes him a good rider. He sits like the late Isaac Murphy and the way he handles a horse reminds one a good deal of the dead colored jockey. He is a fair rider and I do not remember that he once had to be cautioned for foul riding during the long meeting at Oakland."
