DEATHS RECENTLY REPORTED. August Belmont lost a valuable foal at Nursery Stud recently. It was a bay lilly by Melton sire of Sysonby out of Topiary, a young marc by Ornie Ilaisantaire dam of Hawkswick, which Mr. Helmout brought over from Kngland along with Hock Sand last summer. H. T. Wilson. Jr., lias had considerable bad luck with the get of Mexican. He lias lost by death two yearlings and four foals or this year within the last six weeks. The yearlings were out of Hawthorne Princess and Homeopathy, and the foals of 1007 were out of LAlouette, Money Bos, Sparkle Esher and Witchcraft. J. N. Camden, Jr., reports the death of two young mares at Hartland Stud; Semproula, bay filly, 4, by Sempronlus Proud Daisy, and an unnamed three-year-old brown filly by Trenton Jane Byre. W. A. Chanler reports the death of the yearling Lay lilly by St. Dory Alster.
