R. E. W ATKINS DOUBLE AT YONKERS. Feature to Royal Onyx Heavy Track, but Four Favorites Win. New York, August 24. The changed track conditions at Yonkers today made little difference to the public in a speculative way, four heavily backed horses winning. R. e. Watkins scored a double with Coltness in the second race and Leonard Joe Hayman in the last race. The feature was the East View Farm Handicap at about three-quarters of a mile and was won easily by Royal Onyx after a short drive with Goldproof in the early stages of the stretch run. Clements, after being backed from 5 to 1 to 2 to 1, won the fifth race in hollow fashion. He was at home in the going.
