YEARLINGS BRING FAIR PRICES. New York, September 9. Forty-eight yearlings, the product of the Avondale, Edeuwold, Elmen-dorf. Silver Brook, Foxhill and other studs were listed to be sold at Sheepshead Bay today. Eight were not shown and two were passed. Thirty-eight were sold for a total of 4,GS5. W. E. Phillips paid the highest price, ,000, for the chestnut colt by Lord Esterling Lucrece. V. B. Jennings gave ,000 for the chestnut colt by Royal Flush III. Fairy Stone; F. Burlew got the chestnut gelding by Toddlngton Luckless, for 1907.sh00, and it was pronounced the bargain of the sale.
