GOLDFLEUR MAY BE nMADE SOUND. A prominent veterinary of Washington lias suggested to Granville Forfescue that a surgical operation be performed on his steeplechaser Goldtleur, for the removal of an obstruction in the windpipe which now causes the horse to be a roarer. If the operation Is successful Captain Fortescue thinks he will have a splendid jumper next year in the big Goldfinch gelding, which he purchased a short time ago from Courtland II. Smith. Goldfleur has never been a good horse since surviving a bad attack of pneumonia last winter.
