Roseburg II., away slowly and forced to go wide throughout, finished fast and was unlucky to lose. Lillian Ray ran well and, in a game finish, wore Anne McGee down in the last few strides. Anne McGee. away fasi. showed the most early speed, but quit unexpectedly in the last furlong. Irrigator ran a bad race. Pinion ran forwardly for a quarter. The latter, going wide throughout, ran a good race and should have won. Jack Witt showed speed and. while tiring fast in the stretch, held on long enough to save third place. Moyea, away fast and showing the most early speed, tired in the last furlong. Miltiades. from a slow beginning, closed a big gap and finished gamely. Funieulaire ! ran well, but tired slightly in the last sixteenth. Gambrinus stood the final drive gamely. Hancock was going well in the first half, when he went lame and pulled up in bad condition after the finish. Heart of Hvacintb can do much better. The winner was entered for 00; no bid.
