WINDSORS CAPITAL SPORT SEVEN GOOD RACES RUN WITH CLOSE FIN ISHES BETWEEN EXCELLENT HORSES Billio Hibbs Outruns Charlie Gilbert and Wins ths Pontchartrain Stakes Minnie Adams Takes Her Race in Easy Fashion Detroit Mich July 11 The Windsor Racing As ¬ sociation offered today the best card that has been provided during the meeting Good class was well represented In all seven of the races and four of them produced driving finishes Besides the Pont chartrain Selling Stakes for all ages at six furongs with a guaranteed value of 1500 there were offered as attractions a steeplechase handicap and a mile and a sixteenth handicap on the fldt The Pontcharlrain Stakes was won by David Dunlops Billle Hlbbs which came from behind and passed the tiring leaders in the last sixteenth Woodside proved an easy winner in the steeplechase while Fred Cooks Minnie Adams beat Reldmbore jut in the other feature Iteidmoores defeat was in part due to his being kicked on the hock while it the nost Howard Sliean landed on him so hard that the Impact of the blow could be heard In the grandstand Fortunately the kick landed on the muscles and the only ill result was a bruised leg Minnie Adams showed a fine turn of speed in the race leading from end to end and winning easily Dixie Himmel was the only winning favorite of the afternoon She proved an easy winner in the third race after making the pace all the way wayW W Gerst has released the contract he held on jockey Griffin and the boy has returned to his for ¬ mer employer T McCIernand Jockey T Koerner left for his home in Louisville tonight where he will rest up until the coming of the fall meeting at the Blue Bonnets track Montreal MontrealJohn John Ilachmelstcr and his assistant Barry Brie voglc got in from Latonia this morning They leave for Fort Erie tomorrow where they will shape up things for the opening of the new Niagara Jockey Clubs meeting which begins July 27 27The The trainers of Risk and Blember Douglas Carter and D Nugent were fined 10 for not having their horses in the paddock on time for the fifth race raceJake Jake Holtman also got in from Cincinnati and will remain over for a few days Harry White returned to Quebec tonight He re ¬ ports that stalls have been reserved for 200 horses at the Quebec course Jockeys McCabe Dennison Rosen and Murray are among the riders who will go to Quebec
