DARLING SMAFJ JUVENILE WILLIAMS FILLY CONCEDES MUCH WEIGHT IN FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH STAKES. Shoulders 120 Pounds and Achieves Impressive Victory — Ruling Against Barnsdales Owner and Trainer. Jacksonville. Flu.. April 0.— The Fountain of Youth Stakes, with selling conditions, at four and a hall furlongs, the feature event of the program offered at Moncrelf Park this afternoon, resulted in an easy victory for It. D. Williams Darling. Tlie Martinet filly showed a fine performance, shouldering top weight of 12i poTimls and winning going away after overcoming a lot of interference entering the homestretch, where she was carried almost to the outside fence when Agnes May bolted. The judges evidently were of the opinion that the rider was more at fault than the filly for the liolting. as a. ruling issued from the official tiagodu after the race brought suspension to jockey Griffin for a week. Another ruling was handed out. in which tlie judges recommended that the owner and trainer of Bariisdale be ruled off the turf. They based their ruling on a report from the association veterinarian. Dr. Keogh. relative to the condition of "the horse when he was sent to the post this afternoon and in his race on Saturday last. The infi-reuce is that the horse was stimulated this afternoon and not in his previous start. Bariisdale was lieateu five lengths in a race at thrill BjaaiUu of a mile that was rim in 1:1X1, while he won today in a race run in 1:14. Seymour Beutler. winner of the race in iptestion. was third in todays effort, and it reallv leaked as if it was this horse that showed the "reversal instead of Partisdale. The defeats of Kenmare Queen and Merrv Gift were costly for the public, as both horseshad lieen well supported. Favorites and outsiders divided the card evenly. Henry Shannon left ton Jamestown this morning with the sprinter Manlieiiner. Henderson and Hogan have secured a call on the apprentice McTaggett from M. Preston for the Lexington. Louisville and Latonia meetings. Monday and Tuesday next have been set apart .13 Charity days by the club ami the receipts on these days will lie divided between the FJks aud tft. Lukes Hospitals.
