RESULTS ARE SATISFACTORY FAIR PRICES REALIZED FOR THOROUGHBREDS AUCTIONED AT LEXINGTON. Fifty Head Scld for 2,695, Average Being 53 Madden Marcs Fail to Reach Reserve i Prices Set on Them. Lexington, Ky.t November 11. The Kentucky Sales Company opened its annual .fall sale of tiiorougiibrcd horses here this morning, with George A. Bain as auctioneer. Fifty head were sold for 2,095, whieJi represents an average of 53.90. it was the concensus of the large number of horsemen present that It was a good tale, taken as a whole. None of the consignments of .IoIki 12. Madden and August Belmont was sold. .Mr. Madden placed reserves aggregating 4,000 on the eight broodmares he sent through the ring and there was no advance on any ot them. Dicker was not sent to the sale at all and Plaudit will not be offered until tomorrow. The ISelinont horses did not reach the Tattcrsall.s bam until after the sale was closed and will be sold tomorrow, as will the offerings of Harney Schreibcr, which Include Saiu and Jack At kin and the noted broodmare HI Salado. The prices were good for all animals that appeared to io;sess quality.
