MUDDY TRACK RACING AT KENILWORTH. "Windsor, Ont.. September S. With the track in a heavy condition, owing to the storms of the previous evening, the mud runners were given a chance to show their merits at Kenilworth today. The crowd was up to the average for the week and speculation was good. The opening race of the afternoon, which was for two-year-olds, went to Valerie West in easy fashion. This filly rushed to the front into a safe lead and won under restraint. In her previous race she was made too much use of in the early running and failed at the finish. Hnver Rey showed himself to be a much better horse than his opposition in the third race. The feature of the afternoon, a selling handicap, was won in a canter by Little String. Stout Heart, the favorite, never got within challenging distance of the leader. The large entry lists at this meeting speaks well for the efficiency of racing secretary W. R. Norvell. George Phillips will ship his entire string from here to Diilval at the eonclusion of this meeting. Jockey R. Koppelniali. who has riddtMl with success here, will accompnuy the stable. Jockey J. Deavenport was suspended for the rest of the meeting for rough riding in the second race.
