COMMAURETTA RUNS REMARKABLE RACE. Kay Spences Mare Coir.es from Last Place to Win Ramona Selling Handicap at Tijuana. Tijuana. Mex.. February 27. — Kay Spences mare Commauretta came from last place to set up and win the Rjyiioii i Selling Handicap today. Com-mauretta was a distant trailer during the early runnh-g, but when let down after entering the stretch, moved up fast and wore down Silver Moon in a terrific drive. Silver Hooa set a fast pace from the start, but tired when hard pressed by the winner. The opening race was for maidens and the five-year-old Swenson was returned tii" winner. Yal-laha appeared to outclass the contestants engaged in the second, but after running prominently to the stretch tired badly and was stopping at the finish. Cooster won the race in decisive fashion. E. J. Ramsey sent his marc Katharine O. a mile today and she displayed womb rtul speed considering the going, making a runaway race of it, having a ten lengths margin at the finish of the tiiird race, Casket won the fifth, while G. Alexandras recent acquisition Boxer annexed the closing race of the day. T morrow will lie the- first off-day in two weeks.
