Start good and slow. AAron easily: second and third driving. LONELY, away forwardly, took a quick lead and, making the pace fast, drew away in the homestretch and won off by herself. INDISCRETION raced in closest pursuit all the way, but just lasted long enough to withstand the fast coming INCINERATOR. The latter closed a big gap and finished with a rush. BETSINDA finished close up. FORECLOSURE tired in the last eighth. EDITH K. was crowded back at the start. SISTER HELENE quit badly In the last quarter. STEPSON set the early pace and, saving ground on tiie first turn, raced in nearest pursuit of the leader after being passed, but tired in the last quarter. POILU was hard ridden throughout and came gamely through the last eighth. HOHOKUS quit after going well for three-quarters. The winner, entered for S50O, was bid up to ,000 and bought in. The latter, after near pursuit of the leaders, closed up on the stretch turn and could not secure a clear course, but finished gamely when clear. TETLEY, crowded back on the first turn, closed up fast in the last quarter, but tired in the closing strides. SOPHIA GATEAVOOD was on the outside of the leaders all the way and ran a creditable race. AAHIMSY and KOII-I-NOOR raced each other into exhaustion in the first three-quarters. HANNIBAL was forced wide on the stretcli turn and finished with a rush and going fastest of the leaders at the finish. TICKLISH finished resolutely. PEN ROSE quit -badly in the last quarter.
