RAL PARRS BULLSEYE WINS Wins Fourteenth Running of Green Spring Valley Steeplechase at Pimlico PIMLICO Md May 14 Ral Parrs gelding Bullseye fencing in superb fashion and well ridden by Brooks won today renewal of the Green Spring Valley Steeplechase a handicap for fouryearolds and over at two milerf the feature of todays pro ¬ gram at Pimlico Bullseye ran coupled with Royal Arch and was the least fancied of tiie pair by the stable connections He ran a good race and boat the favorite Decisive by a length in a driving finish while the stables reliance Royal Arch was beaten off a dozen lengths Syrdarya showed a great flight of speed in the early stages and fenced in fearless fashion For a time it looked as if he would make a runaway affair of the race but the last time around Cheyne brought his stable com painion Decisive up with a rush and assumed an oasy lead to the tenth fence Brooks used better judgment and waited a bit longer before making his effort with the Parr jumper and when called on Bullseye challenged tlie leaders passed them in a game finish and was going away at tlie end Tlie race was worth 3950 net to the winner winnerThe The Decision just did last long enough to beat Jean Bullant by a nose in the second race The former made all the pace but was tiring at tin finish finishStar Star Voter had his Preakness tryout in the third race which was a dash of a mile He was a heav ¬ ily backed favorite and just failed to make good being beaten by a neck by Dr Joe Star Voter was closing fast at the end but was forced to bump his way through the last fifty yards yardsKeogh Keogh rode a desperate finish on Propaganda in the fourth race and was responsible for that racers victory It was only in the last couple of strides that he got his mount up to beat Martha Luckett by a head headSuper Super proved an easy winner of the fifth coming frgm behind in the stretch run to win going away by a long margin marginWilliam William Burttschnll who has been ill all spring lias announced Ms temporary letiremont from rac ¬ ing He will go to 4fiMia for the summer Tlie horses he had training for several turfmen have been turned over to Milton Smith who will ship them to Canada J R Skinker one of Mr Burtt schells patrons purchased thr promising threo yearold Mythology of W Durnan and he has been turned over to Smith Pepper Grass and another filly which Burttshcell was training for J W Bean of Washington have been turned over to that skil ¬ ful young horseman Clyde Phillips who will train them in the future futureW W A Carter who has three of the Armenia stable horse at Bennirgs has arranged to ship them to Aqueduct about June 1 They include the three yearold General Gomez and Aikcn and the two yearold Cuban bred filly Datusa W E Sugss goes to New York witli Walnut Hall Datusa will not be raced in this country She was brought to the States witli the idea of giving her in op ¬ portunity to develop This filly won a 10000 stake at Oriental Park and is eligible to start in tlie second part of this double event next winter at the Havana track
