DEVONSHIRE STATISTICS 1 Goodly Sum of 15,825 Distributed During Weeks Racing. m . Rancocas Stable and Grey Lag Leading- Money Winners H. J. Burke Takes Riding Honors. The AAestern Racing Association not only greatly improved and beautified Devonshire Park, but save one of the mcst pretentious race meetings in Canada this year. During the aeven days of racing, from July 30 to August G, it distributed the goodly sum of SllS.Slio, a daily average of lG.otC. This liberality had its reward in the presence of a number of the crack .racers of the year; notably Grey Lag, which was sent to the AVjuTlsor course to carry the famous Itnneocas Stable colors in the $"0,000 Devonshire International Handicap. His victory in that feature was one of the outstanding incidents inwh:t j;royed.; to,-, be, a must successful meeting from every standpoint.
