ALEXANDER- HAMILTON showed the most speed in the enrly running, but could not withstand the winners challenge in the last eighth. BRIGHT LIGHTS moved up gamely after entering the stretch, but was cut off and could never recover. SNARE was badly outpaced. OVERMATCH took the lead in the first eighth and. fencing cleanly and after showing the most early speed, was crowded back by FRANC TIREUR in the last quarter, then tame to the outside and took the lead again after crossing in front of FRANC TIREUR and won going away: FRANC TIREUR made a game effort in the final drive, but tired. SEA BRYN was far back early and almost fell at the eleventh jump, but closed up steadily afterward and was wearing the leaders down at the finish. MASTERFUL quit badly in the last half mile. EPISODE, prominent from the start, came fast after entering the stretch and raced into the lead in the last sixteenth, but just lasted long enough to win: PICKWICK moved up fast at the eighth post, but swerved out, which cost him the race. BANTRY lacked early speed and was forced extremely wide on the Inst turn -ind in the stretch, but finished with a rush. HOLD UP ran a good race; WAR MAQHINE pulled up lame.
